Usage Note
Carburante is the general word for motor fuel, covering both benzina (petrol/gasoline) and gasolio (diesel). In Italian fare rifornimento di carburante means 'to refuel.' It is masculine despite ending in -e. Do not confuse with carburatore (carburettor).
