Colloquio is the standard word for a job interview (colloquio di lavoro) as well as a formal conversation or meeting (colloquio con il direttore). Unlike the English false friend 'colloquy', it is in everyday use. In schools it also means a parent-teacher meeting. The plural is regular: colloqui.
