Consapevolmente is derived from consapevole (aware, conscious) and means doing something with full awareness or deliberate knowledge. It is more formal than everyday di proposito (on purpose) and stresses awareness rather than intention. Contrast inconsapevolmente (unconsciously, unwittingly).
