Usage Note

Convincimento means a firmly held belief or conviction, often ideological or moral: agire per proprio convincimento (to act on one's own conviction). It is more formal and abstract than convinzione, though the two overlap. Unlike condanna (legal conviction), convincimento is never used for a criminal verdict — it is purely about mental persuasion.
