Diseguaglianza (also spelled disuguaglianza) refers to social, economic, or legal inequality. It is feminine with a regular plural diseguaglianze. In Italian political and sociological writing it appears frequently alongside povertà and discriminazione. Both spellings are correct; disuguaglianza is slightly more common in formal texts.
