Dubitare is typically followed by di + infinitive or che + subjunctive: dubito che venga (I doubt he'll come) — note the required subjunctive. It takes avere as auxiliary. A common phrase is non c'è da dubitare (there's no reason to doubt). The related noun is dubbio (doubt), and the adjective dubbioso means doubtful or uncertain.
