both

determiner ehn-TRAHM-bee Less Common

Origin: from Latin 'inter ambos', between both

Usage Note

Entrambi means 'both' and agrees in gender, becoming entrambe for two feminine items. Unlike tutti e due, it takes no article before the noun: entrambi i ragazzi keeps the article, while standing alone it means 'both of them'.
