Usage Note
Ereditario describes traits or conditions passed biologically from parent to child (malattia ereditaria, hereditary disease) as well as titles or property passed by inheritance (titolo ereditario). The feminine is ereditaria; it follows regular -io/-ia patterns. Don't confuse it with ereditato (the past participle of ereditare, 'inherited' as a completed action).
