Usage Note

Esigibile is a legal and financial term meaning that a debt or obligation can be legally demanded and collected. A creditor's claim is esigibile when it is due and payable. The related verb is esigere (to demand, to exact) and the noun is esigibilità. The opposite is inesigibile (unenforceable, uncollectable).
