Usage Note
Evidentemente can mark a logical inference ('evidently, he knew') or concede an unpleasant fact ('evidently I was wrong'). Unlike ovviamente (obviously), it retains a slight note of drawing a conclusion from visible evidence. It is slightly more formal than chiaramente.
