Usage Note
Fans is an invariable English loanword used in Italian for a group of admirers of a celebrity, band, or sports team. It is always plural; the singular fan also exists and is likewise invariable. The word is masculine plural by convention: i fans or i fan (both forms are found).

Natural Translation
The fans cheered the singer.
