Usage Note
Fase is feminine: la prima fase ('the first phase'). Its plural fasi is regular. It is common in technical, scientific, and project-management language: nella fase finale ('in the final stage'). Do not confuse it with frase ('sentence/phrase'), which has an 'r'.
