Favorevolmente is the adverb from favorevole (favourable) and appears mainly in formal and written registers: pronunciarsi favorevolmente (to rule in favour), colpito favorevolmente (favourably impressed). In everyday speech Italians prefer bene or positivamente. The antonym is sfavorevolmente.
