Usage Note
Fisiologico describes processes that are normal and natural to a living organism, as opposed to patologico (pathological). It agrees in gender and number: fisiologico / fisiologica / fisiologici / fisiologiche. In everyday Italian it is also used loosely to mean 'normal' or 'to be expected', as in un calo fisiologico delle vendite ('a natural drop in sales').
