Frenesia conveys an intense, uncontrolled agitation or excitement, stronger than mere entusiasmo. The adjective is frenetico (frenetic). The plural frenesie is used when speaking of multiple kinds of frenzy: le frenesie della vita moderna (the frenzied pace of modern life).
