Impressionare means to make a strong impression, positive or negative — mi ha molto impressionato = 'he really impressed me.' It can also mean to disturb or unsettle: le immagini mi hanno impressionato = 'the images disturbed me.' The reflexive impressionarsi means to be easily affected or unsettled. Conjugates with avere.
