Usage Note
Indosso is an adverb meaning 'on one's body, being worn.' It is used with avere or portare: non ho niente indosso (I have nothing on) or aveva un cappotto indosso (she had a coat on). It cannot stand alone as a predicate adjective — it always combines with a verb of having or wearing.
