Industrializzato is the past participle of industrializzare used as an adjective: paese industrializzato ('industrialised country'), paesi altamente industrializzati ('highly industrialised countries'). It agrees in gender and number: nazione industrializzata (f). The antonym is non industrializzato or in via di sviluppo (developing). In international contexts it often appears in the phrase paesi industrializzati (G7/G8 nations).
