Usage Note

Influente describes a person or group that has the power to shape outcomes or opinions — un politico influente (an influential politician). It does NOT mean 'influenza' (the illness), which is l'influenza as a noun. The adjective is the same form for masculine and feminine: un uomo influente, una donna influente.
