innato
innate; inborn
adjective een-NAH-toh Rare
Origin: Latin innatus, from in- (in) + nasci (to be born).
Usage Note
Innato describes a quality present from birth, not acquired: un talento innato (an innate talent), una curiosità innata. It agrees in gender and number normally: innata, innati, innate. It is stronger than naturale (natural) — innato specifically denies any learning or environmental origin. The opposite is acquisito (acquired).
Examples

Natural Translation
