Also means
lawfulness
Usage Note
Legalità ends in a stressed -à and is therefore invariable — the plural is also legalità. It refers to the state of being lawful or conforming to law, and is common in Italian political and judicial discourse — cultura della legalità ('culture of lawfulness') is a set phrase used in anti-Mafia contexts. Do not confuse with legittimità ('legitimacy'), which concerns rightful authority rather than strict legal compliance.
Examples
"Bisogna rispettare la legalità."
Natural Translation
One must respect the law.
