Lobby is a loanword used in Italian politics and business to mean an interest group or pressure group — la lobby del tabacco (the tobacco lobby). It is invariable: the plural is also lobby, not lobbies. The grammatical gender is feminine: la lobby, le lobby. Pronounced with stress on the first syllable, as in English.
