Usage Note
Man in Italian occasionally appears as an English loanword in colloquial speech, informal online writing, or lyrics (sei un vero man = you're a real man). In standard Italian, uomo is always the correct term; man is a casual, youth-register borrowing and is inappropriate in formal contexts.
Examples
"È un man di rispetto nel quartiere."
Natural Translation
He is a respected man in the neighbourhood.
