Usage Note

Oasi ends in -i, making it invariable in the plural — un'oasi, le oasi. Both the literal sense (a fertile spot in a desert) and the figurative sense (a haven of calm) are common. It is feminine: l'oasi (note the elision because it begins with a vowel).
