Usage Note
Ossessivo describes a person, thought, or behaviour that is obsessive or compulsive. The related noun is ossessione (obsession) and the verb ossessionare ('to obsess'). In informal Italian, sei ossessivo ('you're obsessive') is used much like the English equivalent, though maniacale can also convey intense fixation.
