Presunzione covers both the legal sense of a presunzione legale (legal presumption) and the everyday sense of conceit or overconfidence. It is a false friend for English speakers who might expect only the legal meaning — an Italian who accuses someone of presunzione is calling them arrogant, not making a legal claim.
