welfare (adjective)

Usage Note

Previdenziale derives from previdenza ('foresight; social security') and is almost exclusively a technical term in Italian labour, legal, and political discourse — sistema previdenziale ('pension/welfare system'), contributi previdenziali ('social-security contributions'). It does not carry the English connotation of 'wise' or 'prudent'; that sense belongs to previdente or lungimirante.

Examples

Natural Translation

Social-security contributions are mandatory.
