Usage Note
Regia specifically means the artistic direction of a film, play, or broadcast — the work of the regista ('director'). It is not used for management direction in a business sense (that would be direzione or gestione). On Italian TV credits you will see regia di followed by the director's name. The plural is regie, though it is rarely needed.
