Usage Note

Ridurre is an irregular verb of the ducere family: present riduco, riduci, riduce; past participle ridotto; auxiliary avere. Note the irregular past participle — ridotto (not ridurrito). The reflexive ridursi means 'to be reduced to' or 'to come down to': si è ridotto a chiedere aiuto ('he was reduced to asking for help'). Ridotto as an adjective means 'reduced' or 'limited'.
