Rinascere is conjugated like nascere and is irregular: past participle rinato, remote past rinacqui. It takes essere as auxiliary: sono rinato (I was reborn). It is used both literally (rebirth) and figuratively for personal renewal or a city/culture reviving. Il Rinascimento (the Renaissance) shares the same root.
