Also means
to succeed
Usage Note
Riuscire means 'to manage to do something' or 'to succeed': riesco a capire = 'I manage to understand.' It is conjugated like uscire and — crucially — takes essere as its auxiliary: sono riuscito a farlo = 'I managed to do it.' Never use ho riuscito. It is NOT a false cognate of English 'to reuse.'
Examples
"Non riesco a dormire stanotte."
Natural Translation
I can't manage to sleep tonight.
Literal Translation
Not I-manage to sleep tonight
