Usage Note
Sbrogliare means to disentangle something knotted (a rope, a cable) and, very commonly in everyday speech, to sort out a complicated situation: sbrogliare la situazione — to sort out the mess. The reflexive sbrogliarsi means 'to manage on one's own' or 'to get out of a tight spot'. Takes avere in compound tenses.
