Usage Note

Sceneggiatura is the written script of a film or TV production — the Italian equivalent of 'screenplay.' Lo sceneggiatore/la sceneggiatrice is the screenwriter. Do not confuse it with copione, which refers more to the actor's script or a stage prompt book.
