Usage Note
Scontento is the adjective meaning dissatisfied or discontented — essere scontento di qualcosa (to be unhappy with something). It can also be used as a noun: uno scontento (a grumbler, a discontented person). It is milder and more personal than the noun malcontento (collective social discontent). Compare: Non sono scontento (I am not unhappy) — double negation is common in Italian for understatement.
Examples
"Era scontento del risultato finale."
Natural Translation
He was unhappy with the final result.
