Secessionista is one of those Italian adjectives whose singular form ends in -ista and is the same for masculine and feminine: un movimento secessionista, una corrente secessionista. The plural masculine is secessionisti, feminine secessioniste. It refers to a political position favouring the separation of a territory from a larger state.
