Usage Note
Soccorso is commonly seen in pronto soccorso (emergency room / first aid) and soccorso stradale (roadside assistance). Chiamare i soccorsi means to call emergency services. As a past participle of soccorrere (to rescue), it can also function adjectivally. The plural soccorsi is regular.
