Usage Note
Vicina is the feminine form of vicino (neighbour). The same word, as an adjective, means 'near' or 'close' and agrees in gender with the noun it modifies. When used as a noun it always refers specifically to a woman. The masculine neighbour is il vicino; the plural neighbours (mixed or all-male) are i vicini.

Natural Translation
My (female) neighbour brought me a cake.
