Usage Note

Zombie is used in Italian exactly as in English — both for the horror/pop-culture undead creature and colloquially for a person who appears exhausted and unresponsive. It is an invariable noun: uno zombie, gli zombie (plural unchanged). The grammatical gender is masculine.
