Also means
packed
Usage Note
Affollato agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies: un mercato affollato (m), una piazza affollata (f), strade affollate (f pl). It describes places teeming with people rather than things that are physically full (pieno). The reflexive verb affollarsi means 'to crowd together'.
Examples
"Il centro storico era molto affollato."
Natural Translation
The historic centre was very crowded.
