Usage Note

Aggiungere is irregular: past participle aggiunto, past historic aggiunsi. It takes avere as its auxiliary. The reflexive aggiungersi means 'to join in' or 'to be added to' (si aggiunge un altro problema = another problem is added). Do not confuse with unire (to unite) or allegare (to attach a file).
