Usage Note
Americana is the feminine form of americano; as a standalone noun it can mean 'an American woman' or a style of loose-cut jacket (giacca americana). Note that in Italian, adjectives of nationality are NOT capitalised: la cultura americana, never Americana. The plural feminine is americane.
