Badare takes a + infinitive or noun: badare ai bambini ('to look after the children'), bada ai fatti tuoi ('mind your own business'). The phrase non badare a means 'to pay no attention to' or 'not to worry about' — extremely common in spoken Italian. Uses avere as auxiliary.
