Usage Note

Bipartisan is an invariable English loanword used in Italian political journalism to describe cross-party agreement. It does not inflect for gender or number: un accordo bipartisan, misure bipartisan. The native Italian near-equivalent is trasversale (cross-cutting), which is more colloquial.
