Colorito can describe anything visually vivid (un racconto colorito = a colourful story), but it is also used medically for skin complexion (ha un buon colorito = he has a healthy colour). As a noun, il colorito refers to complexion. It agrees in gender: colorita (f), coloriti (m pl), colorite (f pl).
