Confezionare means to package goods for sale or to prepare a garment: confezionare un abito ('to tailor a suit'), confezionare un prodotto ('to package a product'). It takes avere as auxiliary. The noun form confezione means 'packaging' or 'pack', as in una confezione di biscotti ('a packet of biscuits'). It is more formal than simply impacchettare ('to wrap up').
