Debuttare takes avere as auxiliary and is a regular first-conjugation verb. It is used for a performer, athlete, or product making a first appearance: ha debuttato in Serie A (he made his Serie A debut). The related noun is debutto (debut). The double -tt- is held in pronunciation.
