demente

lunatic

noun deh-MEN-teh Rare

Origin: From Latin demens (out of one's mind)

Also means

Usage Note

Demente functions as both noun and adjective. As a noun it is epicene — the same form serves masculine and feminine: il demente, la demente. Colloquially it means a crazy or stupid person; clinically demenza refers to cognitive decline. The colloquial use can be offensive.

"Quel demente ha parcheggiato in doppia fila."

Natural Translation
