Usage Note
Deplorevole is a strong condemnatory adjective applied to behaviour, conditions, or situations the speaker finds morally unacceptable. It follows the noun it modifies in formal writing (un comportamento deplorevole) but may precede it for emphasis. Its adverb form is deplorevolmente. The word shares the same root as English 'deplorable' but is felt as more formal in Italian.
