Desideroso is followed by di + infinitive to express eagerness: desideroso di imparare (eager to learn). It agrees in gender and number like any -o/-a adjective: desiderosa, desiderosi, desiderose. It is more literary or formal than the common phrase avere voglia di, which carries the same meaning in everyday speech.
