Usage Note

Distratto is the past participle of distrarre used as adjective. It describes both a momentary lapse ('ero distratto' — I was distracted just then) and a habitual trait ('è una persona distratta' — she is an absent-minded person). The feminine is distratta. Do not confuse with stressato (stressed) or stanco (tired).
